You may need an AMH test if you are a woman who is having difficulty getting pregnant. The test can help show what your chances are of conceiving a baby. If you are already seeing a fertility specialist, your doctor may use the test to predict whether you will respond well to treatment, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Anti-Müllerian hormone, also known as Müllerian-inhibiting hormone, is a glycoprotein hormone structurally related to inhibin and activin from the transforming growth factor beta superfamily, whose key roles are in growth differentiation and folliculogenesis.

An AMH test is often used to check a woman's ability to produce eggs that can be fertilized for pregnancy. The number of eggs produced declines as a woman gets older. AMH levels help show how many potential egg cells a woman has left or generally known as ovarian reserve.  If a woman's ovarian reserve is high, she may have a better chance of getting pregnant. She may also be able to wait months or years before trying to get pregnant. If the ovarian reserve is low, it may mean a woman will have trouble getting pregnant.

SPARK AMH Test is designed with specific antibodies that selectively detect the AMH with high degree of sensitivity and specificity.  The proprietary mobile app interpretes the test line in the rapid test to give a semi-quantitative or qualitative reading for the test.

AMH is present at generally very low levels in female blood (typically, 1.0 ng/ml to 7.0 ng/ml).  Our test are set to measure at such cut-off range and hence gives a general indication of the results for pre-screening.  Note a follow-up test is required to confirm the exactly level of the results as this is a pre-screening test with qualitative results.
